Who are Hampton Village Traders Association (HVTA)?

The HVTA is a vibrant group of business owners dedicated to supporting the local community and promoting viable businesses in Hampton. Our initiatives aim to enhance the village’s appeal, foster collaboration among businesses, and contribute to the local economy.

Key Initiatives:

  • Social media presence: we encourage members to share photos and offers to showcase Hampton's services and attract customers;
  • Business of the Month: we highlight a local business each month to recognise their contributions and promote their services;
  • Monthly social events: we organise visits to member businesses to build relationships and facilitate referrals;
  • Local events: we create and run events like the Christmas Celebrations, previous Classic Cars on Hampton Green, Screen on Hampton Green open-air cinema, and a soon-to-be dog show and music fest to promote Hampton;
  • Newsletter and postcard: we keep residents informed about local opportunities and events to encourage shopping locally.

Nighttime strategy:

The HVTA is actively working on a nighttime strategy to keep Hampton's nighttime economy viable. Our new event, ‘The Movable Feast’, will bring together local businesses and residents to explore evening services, such as pubs, clubs, and restaurants. This initiative aims to promote Hampton's diverse nightlife and encourage residents to support local businesses.

Community initiatives:

The HVTA also promotes initiatives like ‘Never Hungry in Hampton’, ‘Never Lonely in Hampton’ and ‘Never Alone at Christmas’ to support the local community and foster social connections.

Collaboration and mutual support:

By working together, HVTA members can share ideas, expertise and resources to promote Hampton and its businesses. Our collaborative approach helps to ensure that local businesses thrive and contribute to the village’s economic vitality.

The HVTA is committed to keeping Hampton a vibrant and attractive place to live, work and visit. We believe that our initiatives and events will continue to make a positive impact on the local community and economy.
