Covering the area of Hampton, Hampton Hill and Teddington, we are a small friendly group of committed and enthusiastic photographers who meet locally on the third Wednesday of each month to meet other like-minded photographers, to improve our photography by having either external speakers who talk about their work and techniques or by members presenting some of their work for discussion and helpful critique. Our members are mainly amateurs but include semi-professional and professional photographers.

The Society was founded 27 years ago in a photographic studio in Hampton Hill High Street. After the owner moved, we met at St James’s Church Hall in Hampton Hill for some years before deciding to move last year to The Bell Inn, a pub on the river at Hampton. Since the Coronavirus pandemic, we have moved online and all our meetings are now brought to you via Zoom.  We hope to return to The Bell Inn, Hampton when the pandemic is under control and we are again able to meet socially in groups.

In addition to our monthly meetings, members have the opportunity to take part in our Annual Competition, our Annual Exhibition and to submit work for the Surrey Photographic Association (SPA) Annual Inter-Club PDI Championship. We also issue a monthly Newsletter to Friends and Members that you can subscribe to here.

We welcome photographers of all skill levels and new members and visitors are always welcome.

To take part in one (or more!) of our Online meetings, follow the link to Meetup or Eventbrite (we use both), which is provided separately for each month in the Programme section of our website.

Annual Exhibition

Our Annual Exhibition last year was displayed in both Hampton Hill and Hampton Libraries. The public voted for their favourite print and votes from both libraries were added together.  The result could not have been closer and the winning images are shown below.

1st Place and Trophy Winner:  David Hicks – Grand Mosque Domes (12 Votes).

Joint 2nd – Gökhan Darcan – Splendid Moment; and Penny Westmoreland – Red-eyed Tree Frog, Costa Rica (11 Votes each).
