Exciting BREAKING News

More details for your visit on Sunday 7 December, 4.00pm-7.00pm

No charge for the Roar-some Dinosaur Enclosure!

A generous dinosaur enthusiast has offered to help finance our enclosure. So, all that we ask is that if you really enjoy the experience, please put a little change into the bucket as you come out of the enclosure so that we can contemplate having dinosaurs at some of our next events.

Roar-some Dinosaur Enclosure

To get your free entrance into the dinosaur enclosure, please head for Curves (opposite the old Hampton police station). Here you’ll go up to their wonderful exercise studio where you can get tattoos and play some games ready to then come down into the exciting dinosaur enclosure and get up close and personal with our huge mechanical dinosaurs!

Your free ticket to see Santa

Afterwards, you can collect your Christmas tree passport to see Santa in his grotto and receive a little gift. Get as many stickers on your Christmas tree as you can by visiting the different businesses in Hampton along the way.

Say hello to Santa – and more…

anta’s Grotto is at Hampton Inspired Hub on Ashley Road. There you’ll also find ‘sparkle town hall’ where there will be all sorts of free arts crafts and activities for the children to do. It’s a great way to get warm after all the excitement along Hampton Village roads. Get yourself a glass of wine or a hot chocolate whilst the children have fun.

Gift buying opportunities

The Christmas Market on Hampton Green will also be lit up with excitement, arts, crafts, food, drinks, activities, information and exciting gift opportunities from stalls that circle the main little stage where the atmosphere will charged with choirs, carol singing and music.

Closed roads for safe wanderings

The roads will be closed between 4.00pm and 7.00pm, making it safe for you to explore fully. The only vehicle on the roads will be the ‘elves festive minibus’ if you need transport between activities, particularly if you have mobility issues or if we have adverse weather.

A little bit of rain will not stop us on this really exciting evening of festivities.

We hope to see you there.

Who are Hampton Village Traders Association (HVTA)?

The HVTA is a vibrant group of business owners dedicated to supporting the local community and promoting viable businesses in Hampton. Our initiatives aim to enhance the village’s appeal, foster collaboration among businesses, and contribute to the local economy.

Key Initiatives:

  • Social media presence: we encourage members to share photos and offers to showcase Hampton's services and attract customers;
  • Business of the Month: we highlight a local business each month to recognise their contributions and promote their services;
  • Monthly social events: we organise visits to member businesses to build relationships and facilitate referrals;
  • Local events: we create and run events like the Christmas Celebrations, previous Classic Cars on Hampton Green, Screen on Hampton Green open-air cinema, and a soon-to-be dog show and music fest to promote Hampton;
  • Newsletter and postcard: we keep residents informed about local opportunities and events to encourage shopping locally.

Nighttime strategy:

The HVTA is actively working on a nighttime strategy to keep Hampton's nighttime economy viable. Our new event, ‘The Movable Feast’, will bring together local businesses and residents to explore evening services, such as pubs, clubs, and restaurants. This initiative aims to promote Hampton's diverse nightlife and encourage residents to support local businesses.

Community initiatives:

The HVTA also promotes initiatives like ‘Never Hungry in Hampton’, ‘Never Lonely in Hampton’ and ‘Never Alone at Christmas’ to support the local community and foster social connections.

Collaboration and mutual support:

By working together, HVTA members can share ideas, expertise and resources to promote Hampton and its businesses. Our collaborative approach helps to ensure that local businesses thrive and contribute to the village’s economic vitality.

The HVTA is committed to keeping Hampton a vibrant and attractive place to live, work and visit. We believe that our initiatives and events will continue to make a positive impact on the local community and economy.
