A new book on the history of Station Road by John Sheaf is now available.

The Changing Face of Station Road, Hampton book coverIn The Changing Face of Station Road, Hampton, John Sheaf gives a thorough and detailed history of the road. Subtitled Developments in the Area since the 1860s and a Short History of Every Building in Station Road, the book splits the road into sections, with maps to help the reader follow the text, copious illustrations both modern and historical, and information on the occupants and uses of each building.

To order by post, please send a cheque, payable to BOTLHS, for £6.50 (including p&p) to BOTLHS c/o 4 Thames Street, Hampton, Middlesex, TW12 2EA. They can also be bought online from the Borough of Twickenham Local History Society website.

You can also get the book from Hampton Cheese & Wine Company on Station Road, The Jolly Coopers on High Street, Ruby’s on Priory Road and Hampton library.
